CASA GHEORGHE DUNKA Gheorghe Dunka (1867 – 1944), a fost inginer şi arhitect cu studii la Zürich şi Stuttgart, cu specializări în Belgia şi Franţa. A lucrat ca inginer la Căile Ferate Române şi a colaborat cu Anghel Saligny la verificarea podului construit de acesta peste Dunăre. A fost membru al Partidului Naţional Liberal, fost prefect al Buzăului (1914-1919), senator şi deputat, vicepreşedinte al Senatului. A condus organizaţia locală a PNL, aripa georgistă (condusă de Gheorghe Brătianu din 1925). A fost fiul generalului Iulius Dunka, care a comandat artileria Diviziei 4 Infanterie, a Corpului 1 Armată şi a Corpului de Vest în campania din 1877-1878. Unchiul său, inginerul Titus Al. Dunka, a participat la construirea Canalului Suez, a făcut parte din armata lui Giuseppe Garibaldi, a participat alături de trupele franceze la războiul franco-prusac (1870-1971) şi la Războiul de Independenţă (1877-1878), cu Regimentul 1 Dorobanţi. Gheorghe Dunka, ofiţer în rezervă, a luat parte la Campania din Bulgaria, în 1913, ca şef al coloanei de muniţii a Regimentului 7 Artilerie Buzău şi în Războiul de Întregire Naţională (1916 – 1919), în calitate de comisar al guvernului român pe lângă armata rusă. A decedat în 1944 şi a fost înmormântat în Cimitirul Bellu din Bucureşti. În casa în care a locuit familia Dunka la Buzău astăzi funcţionează Secţia de Oncologie a Spitalului Judeţean Buzău

GHEORGHE DUNKA HOUSE Gheorghe Dunka (1867 – 1944), was an engineer and architect with studies in Zürich and Stuttgart, with specializations in Belgium and France. He worked as an engineer at the Romanian Railways and worked with Anghel Saligny on the inspection of the bridge built by him over the Danube. He was a member of the National Liberal Party, former prefect of Buzău (1914-1919), senator and deputy, vice-president of the Senate. He led the local organization of National Liberal party, the Georgist wing (led by Gheorghe Brătianu since 1925). He was the son of General Iulius Dunka, who commanded the artillery of the 4th Infantry Division, the 1st Army Corps and the Western Corps in the 1877-1878 campaign. His uncle, engineer Titus Al. Dunka participated in the construction of the Suez Canal, was part of Giuseppe Garibaldi’s army, participated with the French troops in the Franco-Prussian War (1870-1971) and the War of Independence (1877-1878), with 1st Dorobanti Regiment. Gheorghe Dunka, reserve officer, took part in the Bulgarian Campaign, in 1913, as head of the ammunition column of the 7th Buzău Artillery Regiment and in the War of National Integration (1916 – 1919), as a commissar of the Romanian government in addition to Russian army. He died in 1944 and he was buried in Bellu Cemetery of Bucharest. Today, in the house where the Dunka family lived in Buzău, the Oncology Department of the Buzău County Hospital carries out its activity.

Il a dirigé l’organisation locale du PNL, l’aile géorgienne (dirigée par Gheorghe Brătianu depuis 1925). Il était le fils du général Iulius Dunka, qui commandait l’Artillerie de la 4e Division d’Infanterie, du 1er Corps d’Armée et du Corps de l’Ouest lors de la campagne de 1877-1878. Son oncle, l’ingénieur Titus Al. Dunka a participé à la construction du canal de Suez, a fait partie de l’armée de Giuseppe Garibaldi, a participé avec les troupes françaises à la guerre franco-prussienne (1870-1971) et à la Guerre d’Indépendance (1877-1878), avec le 1er Régiment Dorobanti.
